The drama tells the story of Zhang Damin (played by Liang Guanhua) and his family moving into a new home and facing a series of troubles and challenges in decoration and daily life. From the noise of neighbors to the unfortunate encounter of his mother-in-law, Aunt Li, who was cheated of her money by the renovation foreman, as well as the leaking bathroom in the luxuriously renovated home of Department Chief Wang upstairs, every issue affects Zhang Damin's family life. Although Zhang Damin tries to solve problems through his own efforts, such as using his own money to pay for renovation costs, these efforts seem to bring more trouble and confusion.
