In Northeast China in 1997, the old industry is facing an era of farewell. Eighteen-year-old vocational school girl Yang Beibang (played by Bu Guanjin) is spirited and righteous, often leading a group of sisters into fights. After a confrontation in a men's bathhouse, Yang Beibang encounters her childhood friend Yu Yi (played by Liu Chang) while he's bathing, and finds herself infatuated with him, subtly hinting and pursuing him. Unexpectedly, Yu Yi falls in love with a girl from the south, Zi Wei (played by Li Meng), which frustrates Yang Beibang, but she is also drawn to Zi Wei’s mature and unique temperament. However, danger quietly begins to germinate. Yang Beibang and Yu Yi work at a dance hall, where they inadvertently witness their boss Lei Guan committing murder. In fear, Yang Beibang discovers that Zi Wei has developed a close relationship with Lei Guan (played by Huang Jue)... Young desires intertwined with danger push Yang Beibang and Yu Yi into the cruelty of the adult world. After suffering injuries, Zi Wei unexpectedly dies, and Yang Beibang leaves Northeast China. Years later, Yang Beibang and Yu Yi reunite, reflecting on that fleeting youth, and gradually let go of their pain...
