Jonathan (Bruno Ganz) and Lucy (Isabelle Adjani) are a loving couple living in Wismar, Germany, preparing for their upcoming wedding with both excitement and tension. However, Jonathan receives news that Count Dracula (Klaus Kinski), who resides in a castle, intends to buy a house nearby Lucy's family home, which Jonathan happily visits to prepare for the wedding. To his disbelief, he discovers that Count Dracula is the legendary vampire. Jonathan is drained of his blood and barely escapes back home. After seeing a photograph of Lucy, Count Dracula believes she is his lover from a past life. He transforms into human form and arrives at the newly purchased house as the owner, waiting for the right moment to act...
