N (played by Zhang Jiawei) has admired his colleague Liu Aima (played by Zhu Yin) for a long time, but unfortunately, Aima already has a boyfriend, Leo (played by Liu Kaiwei), who is the vice president of the company. Heartbroken, N can only silently guard Aima's side. One day, N and Aima take the same bus to work, and unintentionally, a coin falls out of N's pocket and is picked up by Aima. Later, from the broadcast, N learns that finding money is equivalent to encountering bad luck, and thus he asks Aima for the coin back at the office, but she refuses.
As expected, bad luck keeps finding Aima—job layoffs, Leo's infidelity, the death of her dog, and an accidental fall into the sea; a string of unexpected events leaves Aima unprepared. Even though N repeatedly comes to the rescue, he is misunderstood by Aima, leading to a deepening of their misunderstandings. To help Aima, N consults a Feng Shui master to obtain a secret method for turning bad luck into good, resulting in Aima getting a chance to "live for three more days."
