Svend and Bjarne are two brothers-in-arms with their own sorrows. They are butchers in a meat shop, often subjected to the harsh mockery of their cruel boss. In a fit of anger, they decide to risk everything and pool their savings to open their own shop. By a twist of fate, Svend cuts off the thigh of an electrician who froze to death in the cold storage and sells it as chicken meat to his former boss.
