Located in the remote Shuangfeng Town, which is plagued by banditry, Zhu Tong (played by Wu Yue), known as the "Moustached Hero," is demoted to this perilous place for offending the magistrate of Yuncheng. Not long after, his former friend, Lei Heng (played by Jiao Enjun), also arrives here. Zhu Tong is unhappy that Lei Heng took his position and became the magistrate's confidant, especially since Lei Heng's purpose for coming is to investigate whether Zhu Tong has colluded with Liangshan. Thus, the friendship between the two heroes deteriorates, leading to frequent quarrels. Additionally, the stunning local beauty Bai Xiuying (played by Xiao Qiang) becomes involved with both, further intensifying their conflict. Due to Lei Heng's impulsiveness, the Liangshan army is closing in, and the fate of Lei Heng and Zhu Tong is about to change... This film is adapted from a story in one of the Four Great Classical Novels, “Water Margin.”
