Lingxue, affected by the trauma of a miscarriage, returns to her hometown's ancestral home with her husband, Wenjuan, to recuperate. Little did they know that every night, Lingxue hears the pained moans and cries of a woman, and she also experiences severe hallucinations. She can only communicate with a maid named Shuangxi, yet everyone denies Shuangxi's existence, leading others to suspect that Lingxue has developed a mental illness. Just as Lingxue is on the brink of a breakdown, the truth takes a shocking turn... "Phantom in the Enchanted House" breaks the traditional reasoning story mold, lacking detectives or police in the investigative process. The plot's development unfolds entirely through the characters in the story, gradually revealing the final mystery. The main cast not only carries significant investigation responsibilities, but seemingly unremarkable characters like the maid and the psychiatrist also have their own "difficult" reasoning tasks. Characters who appear insignificant have crucial "missions," and the woman's pained moans and cries haunt Lingxue's ears. Is it all merely her hallucination, or is someone plotting against her? Ultimately, answers can only be found within the film!
