Working together in a car repair shop, the foul-mouthed Cheung (played by Chow Yun-fat), Traffic Light (played by Chan Biu Cheung), and Wu Zun Shao (played by Eric Tsang) are colleagues and friends who disdain their boss, Lau Ding Kin (played by Fung Sui Fan), for his stinginess and meanness.
Cheung breaks up with his girlfriend (played by Cherie Chung) due to her snobbish mother. Lau suggests they join a cheap travel group to Penang, but upon arrival, they discover the travel group is not what it seemed. In Penang, Cheung and the others meet Dong Dong (played by Maggie Cheung), who is filming commercials locally, along with her friend Man Zai. Cheung pretends to be a rich young heir to get closer to Dong Dong, while she also deceives him by posing as a wealthy girl.
At a ball they attend, they offend the real wealthy heir Zhao Wan Xian, who has eyes on Dong Dong. In retaliation, Zhao exposes Cheung's true identity to Dong Dong, leaving her heartbroken over the deception. Dong Dong prepares to attend Zhao's ball, unaware that the scheming Zhao has ulterior motives; Cheung and the others rush to her rescue.
