9-year-old George welcomes a brother this day—Stuart, the little white mouse. He is a cute little sprite that his parents brought back from the orphanage, capable of speech, intelligent, and eager to have a home of his own. However, George does not like Stuart and is unwilling to keep him company. This worries Stuart greatly. To make matters worse, he becomes a delicacy in the eyes of a fat cat, living an adventurous life under its watchful eye. George participates in a model airplane competition, but he faces a series of setbacks; first, his father is unable to help him make the model, and just when the model is finally completed, the remote controller gets broken on the day of the competition. Whenever George finds himself in trouble, it is Stuart’s quick wit and bravery that help him get through. Stuart's hard work is eventually accepted by young George, and the little white mouse finds a warm place in George's home.
