Young girl Ma Yufeng (played by Ma Sicheng) is sentenced to six months in prison for drug possession. Her boyfriend Robert instructs her to find the woman, Winnie, who killed his brother while in jail, in order to take revenge for his brother. As a first-time inmate, Yufeng begins her life, known as "The First Cocoon," in prison. The other female inmate, nicknamed "Tomboy," bullies newcomers with her domineering personality. Just as Yufeng is being beaten by the Tomboy, she is rescued by the notorious "Crazy Sister" (played by Wu Jiali). From then on, Yufeng becomes friends with Crazy Sister and the optimistic, talkative pregnant woman (played by Lin Jianming). It turns out that Crazy Sister is Winnie. Winnie, burdened by her drug-addicted father, has to survive in the entertainment industry, and amidst her boredom, she also becomes addicted to drugs. Through a chance encounter, Winnie meets undercover police officer Ah Yong (played by Andy Lau), and they fall in love. Ah Yong remains devoted to Winnie, despite her struggles with addiction, and plans to move to Canada with her. However, Ah Yong's identity is revealed, leading to Winnie killing Robert's brother…
