Growing up overnight is probably every child's dream, as being an adult means freedom. 12-year-old Guangzai hopes to grow up more than other kids, especially since his mother recently committed suicide and his father has brought in a new stepmother. Guangzai is shocked to discover that ever since his mother's death, he has stopped growing taller, which he believes is all his father and new mother's fault. One day, Guangzai meets a mysterious person in the park. The mysterious person claims to have a magical potion that can make Guangzai grow up overnight. Remarkably, Guangzai transforms into a man in his twenties overnight. Guangzai (played by Andy Lau) finally sees his dream come true and can escape from his father and new mother. Overjoyed, Guangzai begins to pursue his dream girl—his school teacher, Miss Lee (played by Gigi Leung). However, the problem arises as Guangzai, with the appearance of an adult but the heart of a child, finds himself quickly falling in love with Miss Lee, only to discover a major issue—he is now aging ten years every day.
