Filmed by four foreign martial arts enthusiasts trained at the Shaolin Temple, "The Price of Success" (Die Fighting) presents a passionate feast of kung fu. The story revolves around the Z-Team, a martial arts group formed at the Shaolin Temple, who have just won a film festival award. Team members Fabien, Lohan, Didier, and Jess are eager to make their mark in Hollywood but find themselves caught in a new crisis: a mysterious man claiming to be a "director" kidnaps their loved ones, forcing them to engage in real combat for his "kung fu movie." Every move of the four is captured by hidden cameras, as the Z-Team is compelled to carve a bloody path through the dark underworld of Los Angeles, taking on robbers, armed militants, drug lords, judo schools, SWAT teams, and gangs. The unexpected conclusion leads each of them to reflect on the true cost of success. The film can be considered the "real-life performances" of the four. In 2000, three young men passionate about Chinese kung fu—Yanic, Fabien Garcia, and Lohan—met at the Shaolin Temple, where they trained in martial arts. In 2003, Lohan's brother Didier joined, and the four formed the Z-Team along with a film production company dedicated to creating Chinese kung fu films. This is Z-Team's first feature film.
