Mona Rudao (played by Lin Qing-tai) leads the tribe to kill foreign enemies in the public school as a blood sacrifice to their ancestors, earning the right to cross the rainbow bridge. What remains is to face death with composure after a brave fight. On the Japanese side, news of the Wushe Incident quickly spreads everywhere, and Army Major General Kamita Yahiko leads a joint force of troops and police to launch a swift attack. The Mahu Village and other groups act independently, using the terrain advantage and flexible tactics to inflict significant damage on the advancing Japanese forces. The mountain police officer Kojiro (played by Ando Masanobu) successfully persuades Timu Walis (played by Ma Zhi-xiang) and his tribe to join the Japanese camp, assisting in the siege against Mona Rudao. In the early stages of the war, the women and children who moved to the dense forest with the tribe choose to commit suicide to avoid dragging down the warriors, and the troubled Ichiro also opts for seppuku.
