A wealthy man with the surname Luo firmly believes in fate. To ensure his financial fortune, he has both his legal wife and maid become pregnant simultaneously, resulting in the birth of two sons. A master named Gao determines that one son is a star of prosperity while the other is a star of disaster reincarnated... Years later, on the streets of Hong Kong, we meet a down-and-out young man named Luo Si Liang (played by Nick Cheung), who gambles with the belief that he will always win. However, his gambling luck brings disaster to his family. Since the day he accidentally caused his father’s death at three years old, he has been raised by his uncle, with only his childhood friend Ah Hua (played by Gigi Leung) occasionally helping him out. On the other hand, Si Liang's half-brother, Situ Ding Yi (played by Edmond Leung), enjoys good fortune under Master Gao’s protection and skillfully humiliates the gambling king, Li Da Sheng. To maintain his good luck, Ding Yi has kept Si Liang under control for over twenty years, until Si Liang is imprisoned by Li Da Sheng in a gambling research center. In the center, Si Liang meets an “alien orphan” (played by Lee Yi Man) and finally realizes he has been living in a false reality. Facing a major life crisis, Ding Yi plots to frame Si Liang in order to change his fortune, setting the stage for a brotherly battle…
