Three children, with the help of adults, built a treehouse near their home. Here, they quietly observe the rise and set of the sun, the changing seasons, and the magnificent yet harsh nature of Iceland accompanying them. This film was completed by renowned Icelandic director Hlynur Pálmason over 18 months, together with his three children, embodying the global trend of directors turning to family and nature during the pandemic. The film is a concentrated reflection of Pálmason's "temporal montage" technique seen in two of his recent works, and it can even be seen as a documentary or a video of installation-performance art. Since its special screening at the 2022 Berlin International Film Festival, the film has embarked on its global festival journey, becoming one of the best short films of 2022 according to multiple media outlets and critics.
