Born in a Noh theater in Muromachi Kyoto, the deformed son Inu-Oh (voiced by Avu-chan) is alienated from those around him and wears a gourd mask that hides his face. One day, Inu-Oh meets the blind biwa player Tomona (voiced by Mirai Moriyama), who is cursed. As Tomona plays the strings of his biwa, Inu-Oh steps and sings. In that moment, a world of only two people's breaths and existence unfolds. Inu-Oh revels in his heroic fate, paving his own path with powerful dance, while Tomona seeks the truth behind the curse, resonating with another world through his biwa. They become partners surviving in a chaotic era, showcasing each other’s talents, and as unique artists, they drive people into a frenzy. However, at the peak, something awaits them both... The film is adapted from the novel "The Tale of the Heike: The Volume of Inu-Oh" by Hisashi Furukawa.
