Sister Monica lives in a house on the Chilean coast with a group of priests of varying ages. In addition to daily prayers and confessions, they train Greyhounds for competitions. What brought them to this place, to this damp, sticky world where a gentle breeze constantly blows? One day, a new priest arrives, but he faces severe accusations from others. The voice of the accuser grows louder until it is interrupted by a gunshot. The young priest chooses suicide as a way to escape the accusations. Investigators are sent by the authorities, but does this investigator really wish to uncover the truth? Perhaps his presence is merely intended to maintain the beautiful façade of this place. The film gradually reveals the dark secrets hidden within, digging into the past of these servants of God and ruthlessly exposing many contradictions present in the Catholic Church. The director's script achieves what the Church itself has failed to do: it does not simply punish a scapegoat. The film actually adheres strictly to the rules and rituals regarding martyrdom in Christianity.
