Orion looks like an ordinary elementary school student—shy, humble, and secretly in love with others. But beneath this seemingly normal surface, Orion is a bundle of adolescent anxiety, completely consumed by irrational fears stemming from bees, dogs, the ocean, cellphone signals, menacing sewer clowns, and even the irrational fear of falling off a cliff. Among all his fears, the one he dreads most is the darkness he faces every night. And his greatest fear takes on a physical form: the darkness takes Orion on a roller coaster ride around the world to prove that there’s nothing to fear at night. As this unusual duo grows closer, Orion must decide whether he can learn to accept the unknown, free himself from the control of fear over his life, and embrace the joys of living.
