The story begins in 2003, just after the Gulf War, when a few surviving prisoners of war are discovered by the media in southern Iraq. A Kurdish elderly woman, listening to the news at her radio, feels a surge of emotion. Her son, who fought in the war, has still not returned. Driven by a strong belief, she resolutely sets off with her young grandson to search for her long-missing son. She feels heartbroken that her young grandson is forced to survive in such a poor environment. But as long as they can find the father, the family can be reunited. The elderly woman still firmly believes that her son is alive somewhere in the world. During their journey, they encounter various people in the midst of chaos, witnessing different forms of suffering and hardship. Of course, they also meet pilgrims whose faces radiate the shiny glow of hope. Therefore, no matter how many twists and turns her emotions take, she does not want to give up the hope of finding her family, even if there is only the slightest possibility, for it contains infinite opportunities.
