In 1944, on the eve of Germany's defeat in World War II. To protect the artistic treasures shared by humanity from malicious destruction, President Roosevelt commissioned the formation of a special team known as the Monuments Men, led by Professor Frank Stokes (played by George Clooney). The team gathered elite talents from various fields of art, including James Granger (Matt Damon), Richard Campbell (Bill Murray), and Walter Garfield (John Goodman). As the Germans retreated, the team pursued them, saving many priceless artifacts. Upon arriving in Paris, they met Claire Simone (Cate Blanchett), an employee of the French National Museum who had managed artworks under German rule. With her assistance, they were able to restore countless treasures to their rightful owners. This is a war that concerns humanity's heritage, racing against time, with no room for respite... This film is based on a true story that took place during World War II.
