This film is adapted from true events. In the late 19th century, Ignacio de la Torre married Porfirio Díaz's daughter, the President of Mexico. Ignacio led a double life: he gained fame in the traditional political world while also being a member of a secret society. He maintained this delicate balance until he met the society's 42nd member, Evaristo. One of his parties (also called "Secret Dance 41") faced a police raid, leading to a scandal that caused a huge uproar.
