Édith Piaf, known as the "Little Sparrow," is a national treasure of France portrayed by Marion Cotillard, and she led a legendary life. Piaf's childhood was turbulent; first abandoned by her mother, then sent by her father to a brothel to be raised by her grandmother, and later forcibly taken away to live a life performing with a circus after her father returned from the army. Following this, Piaf made a living by busking alongside her father and eventually became a singing girl in a bar. Over time, Piaf successfully became a charming star on stage, singing many beloved songs. However, her emotional life was repeatedly thwarted, especially her relationship with boxer Marcel, played by Jean-Pierre Martins. Her later years saw a decline in her health, and she ultimately succumbed to liver cancer.
