Cao Yi (played by Vivian Hsu) is a single mother living a life reliant on her son Xiao Hu (played by Ah Rui). To make ends meet, Cao Yi has to work tirelessly, seizing every opportunity to earn extra income, which makes her unpopular with her boss and eventually leads to her being assigned as a junior assistant to photographer Xiao Tie (played by Huang Xiaoming). Xiao Hu sees his mother busy every day, forgetting to care for him, so he makes a wish to Santa Claus, hoping his mother could become as powerful and capable as the robot "Mad No. 2" from cartoons. The long hours of work cause Cao Yi to show symptoms of exhaustion, and Xiao Hu blames himself for this, fearing that his mother might really turn into a non-stop robot and eventually crash due to overuse. To prevent this from happening, Xiao Hu comes up with a brilliant plan.
