In the bygone era when television anchors were seen as authorities, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) is the award-winning anchorman of San Diego, leading Channel 4's news team to success. The three quirky members of his crew can only shine in Ron’s presence. Outside of work, the womanizing Ron naturally exploits his fame to attract women, but he encounters a setback when Veronica (Christina Applegate), a new colleague in the news department, catches his eye. Everyone’s attempts to woo Veronica end in failure, but ultimately, Ron conquers the ice queen with his wild charm. However, Veronica, driven by her strong career ambitions, begins to shine at work and challenges Ron's position. After a car accident, Ron's life quickly spirals into chaos...
