Dancer Ah Ru (played by Ng Man-tat) is a hopeless gambler who borrows money from her friends to bet on horse racing, only to lose everything. In desperation, she goes to her best friend Ah Nuo (played by Jiang Xin Yan) to raise funds and threatens to commit suicide. Coincidentally, Ah Nuo, who has been cheated out of her money by her boyfriend, decides to join Ah Ru in death. Reluctantly, Ah Ru tries various methods of suicide with her friend, but all attempts fail. Eventually, Ah Nuo hopes to jump off a building to end her life, but by chance, Ah Ru falls instead. On the other hand, a gang leader seeks a medium to bring a female ghost from Malaysia.
