Cory Lambert is a hunter from the Indian Reservation in Wyoming, who investigates a young woman's murder case in Wind River alongside FBI agent Jane Banner. One is a hunter who draws life wisdom and faith from nature, while the other is a rookie agent still unfamiliar with bureaucratic ailments and criminal laws. Together, they represent two completely different cultural backgrounds and social forms, gradually stepping into a fog filled with human struggles as they navigate the murder case. As more layers of identity and complex contexts are revealed, the characters find themselves in increasingly dangerous situations, heightening tension as the core of the case gradually comes to light.
