Primary school student Zhang Maza (Liu Yuntao) lives next to the police dog training base. He often climbs trees with his cousin Ertu to watch the police dog training, and they fall in love with the fierce and smart wolf dog "Black Lion," wanting it to mate with their family dog "Mountain Tiger." Soon, "Black Lion" dies while on duty, and "Mountain Tiger" gives birth to "Princess" and "Wolf Fang," one male and one female wolf dog, which Maza considers treasures. As the two wolf dogs grow, they command the same awe as their father. When summer vacation arrives, Maza takes the two wolf dogs into the city to visit his sister Zhang Ju (Shi Rong) and plans to get them dog licenses. On the bus, a ticket seller steals cash from a passenger and hides it in Maza's backpack. After Zhang Ju discovers the money in Maza's bag, she questions him but fails to get a clear answer and keeps the money for personal use. Soon after, Zhang Ju encounters trouble when she is threatened by the leader of a theft group, Duan Fei (Liu Tingyao). During Maza's search for his sister, the two wolf dogs prove crucial, helping the police, especially Officer Niu Wu (Zhang Zhizhong), infiltrate the theft group, but tragedy strikes at a moment of joy.
