The story takes place in an elite high school located in Beverly Hills, where students who can attend are either rich or privileged. Therefore, the atmosphere of luxury and freedom on campus is incomparable to an ordinary school. Here, grades and character are unimportant; what matters are the colorful designer fashions, the sparkling jewelry accessories, and the flamboyant, expressive personalities. Our protagonist Cher (played by Alicia Silverstone) grows up in such a world. A new transfer student catches Cher's attention. In the large campus, she seems like a "freak" in the eyes of classmates and friends, dressed in a mediocre and tacky manner. Cher decides to help her reinvent herself. Under Cher's guidance, the transfer student indeed transforms into a stunning new version of herself, even surpassing Cher, which leaves Cher feeling quite upset.
