For the residents of Southport, the arrival of Katie (Julianne Hough) is a big deal. Although this young and beautiful girl is polite and behaves impeccably, speculations and doubts about her have never ceased. For Katie, the free and peaceful Southport is a good place for healing. However, no matter how far one escapes, they cannot flee their past, and Katie is no exception. The more she tries to forget the terrible things that happened, the more haunted she is by those memories. Thus, she understands that Southport is not a place for her to linger. In Southport, Katie meets the handsome young man Alex (Josh Duhamel), whose tender care shakes Katie’s resolve to leave. As gentle companionship builds over time, the distance between the two young people grows closer. Can Alex's appearance change Katie's fate?
