Li Kai (He Gang) is a humble screenwriter who has recently taken on a scriptwriting job. However, due to his lack of romantic experience, he faces criticism from the producer. To keep his job, he must find Liu Xia (Hsiao Chiao) and suggest that they pretend to be a couple. Liu Xia is a standard career woman who works hard and naturally neglects her personal love life.
