Passionate chef Zhao Qun (Chen Xiang) faces the transformation of an old factory into a trendy art district. Under the pressure of changing times, the decades-old employee canteen is also facing closure. The canteen staff raise 100,000 yuan of hard-earned money to manage the canteen. An unexpected event leads the young chef Zhao Qun, who is skilled in both fighting and cooking, and the extremely unreliable Uncle Lao Tie (Ying Da) to burn the 100,000 yuan. To make up for this "huge loss," the two try various methods to raise money, even reaching a point of selling their bodies. Just when they are almost in despair, they suddenly see a glimmer of hope: a super prize blood-soaked band competition is about to begin! To win the grand prize and save the canteen, they search for former music legends, ultimately finding the legendary guitarist Lao Huang (Huang Qiusheng) and the lute master Lao Yan (Dai Liren) hiding in a small barbershop. Thus, a handsome guy leads three uncles through numerous comical trials, and the "Big Knife" band becomes a historical oddity, proving the adage that a handsome guy who doesn't know how to sing isn't a good chef.
