On a dense night, air conditioner repairman Wang Xueming (played by Eddie Peng) accidentally hits a man who suddenly bursts onto the road while driving home. To avoid accountability, he leaves the man by the roadside and drives away. The next day, the alluring Liang Ma (played by Sylvia Chang) arrives at a noisy police station to report her man's disappearance to Officer Chen (played by Wang Yanhui). Wang Xueming, who overhears this, feels guilty and secretly damages Liang Ma's air conditioner. He then visits her under the pretense of fixing it but finds himself at a loss for words when faced with this seemingly not-so-sad woman. What appears to be a simple case of a hit-and-run hides a bizarre murder case underneath it. A southern town, humid and sticky yet chillingly cold...
