Rani (played by Tanishta Chatterjee), Lajjo (played by Radhika Apte), and Bijli (played by Surveen Chawla) are three women with vastly different personalities, brought together by the thread of fate. Rani is heavily in debt to arrange a decent wedding for her son Gulab (played by Riddhi Sen), but Gulab squanders the hard-earned money on indulgence. Lajjo is unable to conceive and often faces violence from her husband, living a life of extreme hardship. Bijli was once the main attraction in a street dance troupe, with countless admirers at her feet; however, after being drained of her last bit of strength by her madam, Bijli also inevitably faces the fate of being abandoned. On the day of the Dussehra festival, the three women come together and decide to escape their manipulated, tragic destinies.
