She doesn't want to study anymore because her mother has brought home a new man, and she wishes to escape her family by relying on herself. She sends a postcard to Man-nan saying she is going to Tottori to see the sea. From her words, Man-nan senses something ominous and worries that she might do something foolish due to her depression, so he rushes to Tottori. On the island, they meet A-tora, who takes them to a small shop owned by his former lover, Seiko. Seiko had chosen her husband over A-tora in the past, but now that her husband has passed away, they reunite and indulge in drinking together until dawn. Once again, A-tora chooses to let go.
