Couples who were passionately in love before marriage may not feel the same afterward. As mundane daily responsibilities replace romantic feelings, the cracks in their relationships become apparent: Jason (played by Jason Bateman) and his wife Cynthia (played by Kristen Bell) consider divorce due to infertility, Joy (played by Jon Favreau) and Lucy have lost interest in each other's bodies, and Dave (played by Vince Vaughn) and Ronnie are constantly stressed by the pressures of house and kids. Facing the potential collapse of their once-envied marriages, the couple decides to give it one last shot by coming up with a vacation therapy to convince several conflicted couples to go on a second honeymoon to a tropical island.
