The primary school in Hope Village is in shambles. Yang Gang, a businessman from the village, promises to sponsor 100,000 yuan. After careful consideration, the village chief sends the honest and simple Steel Egg to the city to collect the donation. On the long bus ride into the city, he encounters a group of bumbling thieves and a desperate father named Lu Silin. Together, they manage to drive the robbers off the bus, and in the chaos, the belongings of Steel Egg and Lu Silin get swapped by mistake. Once in the city, Steel Egg retrieves the donation and heads back to the bus station to return to the village. On the way, three thieves on the bus steal the donation, prompting him to chase after the thieves. After several twists and turns, he eventually finds the thieves' hideout.
