Wimbledon is a famous tennis tournament in the UK, showcasing the highest level of tennis and thrilling matches, serving as an excellent stage for players to display their skills. The male protagonist in the film, Peter (played by Paul Bettany), dreams of achieving the pinnacle of his tennis career at Wimbledon. However, the glory of Wimbledon is not easily attained, and like countless players with dreams who come here, he ultimately faces disappointment. Now preparing for one last big match, things take an unexpected turn. Coming from the United States, seed player Lizzie (played by Kirsten Dunst) boasts outstanding achievements and a stunning appearance, with a unique personality that deeply attracts Peter. The nourishment of love gives Peter incredible strength, allowing him to dominate the court and achieve remarkable results. A bright future in his tennis career unfolds before Peter, yet the fervor of love seems to bring him good fortune while causing Lizzie to lose her focus on the competition due to her romantic entanglement. For Lizzie, giving up her originally brilliant record feels like too great a sacrifice, and she chooses to leave. The lovers brought together by tennis are about to be separated by it, unless fate provides another miraculous turn of events.
