On March 6, 2011, multiple groups in Hong Kong initiated a large-scale protest against the financial budget, with over two hundred people continuing to sit in silence on Queen's Road at night. Demonstrators were surrounded by the police and broke through to the intersection of Des Voeux Road Central and Snow Factory Street, blocking the road in a peaceful act of non-cooperation. After attempts by the police to disperse the protesters failed, a historic number of one hundred thirteen people were arrested on charges of "illegal assembly" and all were taken back to North Point police station. Due to the saturation of the confession room, the demonstrators were arranged to give their statements in groups in the police station cafeteria. Three protesters and three police officers sat around the dining table, with Cheung Ho-ching having already given up the power in his hands that morning, yet he did not look up because the police officer across from him was his brother. The photocopier at the police station was broken, and they waited indefinitely. Through the long night, aside from sitting in silence, the two sides, six individuals from different backgrounds, could only start talking. The story begins here.
