An accident brings Chinese girl Lianhua (played by Huang Liushuang) to meet American Alan (Kenneth Harlan). Alan has just escaped from a terrible shipwreck, and the kind Lianhua takes him in and cares for him loyally. As time goes by, the two gradually come together. Lianhua hopes that once Alan recovers, he will take her back to America, but family troubles prevent Alan from considering Lianhua, and he hurriedly returns home.
