Before liberation on the eastern coast of Zhejiang, fisherman Li Baishi (played by Yu Wenzhong) could no longer endure the bullying of the fishing tycoon Chen Zhanao (played by Li Lin) and, together with Liu Dabo (played by Wang Binghuo), organized the fishermen's struggle but was killed by sea bandits. The young Hai Xia (played by Cai Ming) awaited the arrival of the People's Liberation Army to take revenge for the poor. The fishing village was finally liberated, and under the guidance and cultivation of Instructor Fang (played by Zhao Lian), Hai Xia gradually grew into a female militia squad leader. Chen Zhanao, who had fled to Taiwan before liberation, sent the sea bandit Heifeng (played by Yu Shaokang) to the village to meet with the former accountant You Ergou (played by Chen Zhijian), attempting to coordinate with him and Chen Zhanao in Taiwan for a counterattack. They caused a series of destructive activities on the island, and with the support of the leadership and the masses, Hai Xia led the female militia to root out hidden enemies and uncovered intelligence about the enemy's maritime invasion plans. The entire island's military and civilians were ready, waiting for the incoming enemy... This film is adapted from the novel "Island Female Militia" by Li Ruqing.
