The New Year’s bell is about to ring, and a joyful and festive atmosphere fills the isolated Poseidon sailing in the North Atlantic. This is an ultra-luxurious cruise ship with 800 rooms, 13 stories high, and a capacity of over 2000 passengers. Under the organization of Captain Mike Bradford (played by Andre Braugher), dignitaries and social elites gather in the luxurious and bright hall to celebrate the arrival of the New Year with fine food, wine, and light songs and dances. Meanwhile, the Earth's crust at the bottom of the Atlantic experiences violent tremors, leading to monstrous waves capable of destroying everything. In the face of nature, even the most sturdy ships must bow down. The Poseidon is capsized by the giant wave, and countless people lose their lives. Faced with the threat of death, those who manage to survive the first wave of disaster begin to look for ways to escape. In the vast, helpless ocean, what will their fate ultimately be? This film is a remake of the classic disaster movie "The Poseidon Adventure" from 1972.
