A group of Southeast Asian illegal immigrants braves hardships to reach South Korea, but nearly all of them die inside the container, leaving only one person, who weakly manages to escape into the bustling city. Unbeknownst to anyone, this person carries the deadly swine flu virus, and within just one day, the virus rapidly spreads to every corner of the city. Many people are unknowingly infected, casting a shadow of death over everyone around them. Beautiful doctor Kim Eun-ha (played by Soo-ae) is a single mother who recently suffered a car accident, but was rescued by firefighter Kang Ji-soo (played by Jang Hyuk). However, she faces harsh criticism from her supervisor for losing important research materials. During this time, the brother of a Korean smuggler is admitted to Eun-ha's hospital for treatment of the flu. After diagnosis, they finally discover the source of the outbreak—the container strewn with corpses undoubtedly becomes the key to tracing the infection. Shortly thereafter, the swine flu virus erupts geometrically, and the previously complacent citizens face an unprecedented disaster...
