Anne (played by Sarah Polley), a cleaner who is not yet 24 years old, is diagnosed with cancer and has only two to three months to live. Her husband is the first and only man in her life, who fathered their daughters when she was 17 and 19. Her imprisoned father cannot provide her with shelter, and her relationship with her mother is not good. The family of four lives in a trailer, but fortunately, her husband recently got a job building a pool. Anne decides to keep her illness a secret from her family and writes ten wishes to fulfill before her death, including finding another man who loves her, preparing birthday speeches for her daughter’s future, meeting with her father once, and enjoying the rest of her life. In the laundry room, Anne meets a surveyor returning from Alaska, and they spark a romantic connection. However, she fails when she introduces a diet-obsessed female colleague to her husband. Soon, a female neighbor with the same name as Anne arrives, and she seems to be the ideal candidate for her wishes. Everything is progressing step by step, along with Anne's impending death... This film won several awards, including Best Canadian Film at the 2003 Atlantic Film Festival.
