This film tells the story of an elderly woman, Angela (played by Danuta Szaflarska), who lives in isolation in the days leading up to her death. In this desolate and lonely world, there is both her fear of death and her memories of past happiness and dreams. The only companion she has is her little dog, whom she calls "Phlia," as Angela mutters to herself, engaging in a dialogue with her own thoughts. She is preoccupied with the thought of her son but ultimately does not get to see him. As death quietly approaches, Angela often looks out at the swing set, reminiscent of happier times. In the tranquil, nostalgic shadows of black and white, the film silently captures the elder's final moments. The film won the Audience Award, Best Actress, Best Sound, and Critics' Award at the 2007 Polish Film Festival.
