Country boy Jonas (played by Josh Wiggins) meets his new neighbor Casey (played by Sophie Nélisse). They are young and passionate, quickly falling in love. However, first love often comes with pain. Jonas accidentally discovers that Casey's father Wayne (played by Bill Paxton), as a local police officer, not only embezzles and neglects his duties but also participates in illegal activities, including cold-blooded murder. In order to protect Casey, Jonas decides to steal a bag of money of unknown origin from Wayne. He hopes to use this as funding to take his beloved girl to a safe place. However, to his surprise, the suspicious bag of money, along with the ruthless Wayne and other equally greedy corrupt cops, brings deadly danger to the young couple. As the plot unfolds, Jonas and Casey find themselves in a life-and-death struggle. They must fight against dark forces, reveal the truth, and protect themselves from dangerous pursuers.
