Scott (Michael Cera 饰), a rock youth dreaming of becoming a singer, has a band, a few close friends, and a past relationship he wishes to forget. His beloved ex-girlfriend Envy Adams (Brie Larson 饰) has been swept away by a rival he idolizes. Just when he is caught in a deep emotional shadow, high school girl Knives Chau (Ellen Wong 饰) and his dream girl Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead 饰) both appear before him. Scott falls for Ramona at first sight, but he is unexpectedly required to defeat her 7 evil exes to win her heart.
