Cui Mingguo (Eason Chan) and his wife Zhang Jingyi (Bai Bing) are deeply in love but feel the pressure of mortgage payments. One day, Cui Mingguo encounters his friend, master perfumer Tony (Harlem Yu), who discovers his talent for scents and invites him to join the company. However, due to the boss (Ruth Liu) forbidding the hiring of married men, Cui Mingguo has to conceal his marital status. Initially, he faces ridicule from the former secretary of the boss and teasing from female colleagues. Nevertheless, the high salary allows him to provide for his wife, and the couple enjoys their underground work. During a problem-solving session with Japanese clients regarding “memories,” Cui Mingguo steps up to brilliantly resolve the issue and gains the boss’s appreciation. Subsequently, he is often asked to work overtime, even on holidays, which greatly displeases his wife. After consulting his close friend — emotional expert Ru Xiaoguo (Qin Lan), Cui Mingguo is diagnosed by his wife as being unfaithful, causing a rift in their relationship.
