Shen Zhiqiang (played by Li Yaoxiang) applies for his wife Yun (played by Guan Baohui) to settle in Hong Kong so that they can be together every day. However, he worries about Yun being taken away by others, so he keeps her confined at home. When Yun wants to go out, Shen Zhiqiang agrees to let her call her friend Hong to accompany her. Later, Hong takes Yun out and carefully dresses her up. While outside, Yun unexpectedly meets a man named Lang, who is attracted by her beauty. After returning home, Shen Zhiqiang suddenly becomes emotional upon seeing Yun's outfit. Unable to endure his abusive treatment, Yun decides to heed Hong's suggestion to go to a bar to unwind.
