Pablo Quintero (played by Eusebio Poncela) is a famous director and screenwriter in Spain, but behind his glamorous exterior lies an unknown side. He is deeply in love with his gay boyfriend, Juan Bemudez (played by Miguel Molina), who is rather indifferent towards him. Pablo's sister, Tina Quintero (played by Carmen Maura), is a transgender woman who, after experiencing a setback in her sex life, harbors hatred towards men. Tina lives with a female model, Ada (played by Manuela Velasco), but Ada's daughter falls in love with Pablo. When Pablo meets the possessive Antonio Benitez (played by Antonio Banderas), all relationships become increasingly chaotic. The film "The Law of Desire," directed by the renowned Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar, won the Teddy Award for Best Feature at the 37th Berlin International Film Festival in 1987. The film involves themes of transgenderism, incest, homosexuality, and male nudity, and through its exaggerated portrayals of sexual and violent crimes, it unabashedly challenges traditional moral concepts.
