Bao (played by Deng Lixin) was running a dessert shop with her boyfriend Jun (played by Huang Jiale), and their business was thriving, along with their stable relationship. However, Bao's old classmate Qiqi (played by Zeng Kaiyan), who she hadn't seen in years, unexpectedly stole Jun away, disrupting Bao's happy life. On the other hand, Bao's friend Wen (played by Tang Ning) often loses her temper with her boyfriend Feng (played by Hu Qinglan). When Feng meets Min (played by Yang Aijin), who already has a boyfriend, they embark on a "backup romance." Wen and Feng eventually break up. Later, Bao meets a conman named Qiang (played by Fang Lishen), and she gives him 100,000 to help her take revenge on Qiqi. Qiang successfully attracts Qiqi's attention and aims to deceive Jun to take over his dessert shop. During this time, Bao and Qiang develop feelings for each other. Bao believes Qiang isn't fundamentally bad and that he can change for the better. However, Qiqi discovers everything and offers more money to bribe Qiang, wanting Bao to be humiliated again.
